Formed in 1853, Gilbert Gilkes & Gordon Ltd is a UK based engineering company. At Gilkes Hydro we manufacture and supply hydro-electric turbines and ancillary equipment in the output power range up to 20MW including a micro hydro range of turbines.

Activities include, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, testing, routine service and plant upgrade. Since our first turbine in 1856 we have been improving and refining designs ever since. Gilkes have supplied over 6500 turbines to over eighty countries world wide, establishing a company which is sensitive to regional differences and requirements. We have a dedicated team of sales engineers based both in the UK and abroad including North America and Japan.
